In order to achieve maximum success you have to find a balance between where you are now, (both mentally and physically) and where you want to be. Get your mind set on a goal, whatever it may be, and start thinking strategically about the necessarily steps to move forward. Working towards a better future for yourself will make things a lot clearer for you and help to overcome even the biggest of issues. Put your best foot forward and no rock in your way will hold you back from achieving your objective.

If you have made the decision to start a healthier lifestyle and be more fit, here are the first steps you can take towards improvement. Using these simple techniques is an easy way to become a healthy person!
1) Eat breakfast.- It may seem like the obvious, but many people forget or skip the most important meal of the day because they’re focused on other things like getting somewhere on time or getting dressed. Don’t forget to eat a healthy breakfast!
2) Walk everywhere. - If you can walk there, walk there. Don’t always jump in the car! If you want to go to the store around the corner, walk there instead of driving. It’s simple and easy and burns calories!
3) Have a healthy sweet treat.- Apples, strawberries and mangoes are yummy snacks that you can munch on to fight those junk food cravings throughout the day.
4) Drink more water! – Avoid the sodas and coffee, try drinking water which is good for your body! Go for the recommended 8 cups-a-day!
5) Dress for success! – As mentioned before in our blog, Summer Work-Out Wear, you can try on new, affordable fitness clothes to enhance your outfits. Once you’ve got your shoes and gear on, you’re more likely to get yourself moving.

When you see the "Got Milk" posters up at school, they’re not just for show. Celebrities are trying to reach out to you in one of the easiest ways, by adding milk to your diet. Number Two: Dancing, you’ll be having so much fun you won’t even realize you’re exercising. Number Three: Hit the track, and make a work-out rountine, (sound familiar?) And finally, Be Confident! 1. Cut back on the sodas. Less Dr.Pepper and more WATER! It cleans out your body and it’s great for your skin!
2. Greens! Instead of hotdogs and french fries everyday, try a salad! We’re not saying that they aren’t delicious and great to snack on with friends, but make sure to have a variety of foods instead of filling up on junk over the summer.
3. Crunches! We hate ‘em, but our bodies love them, especially those abs! What summer body could be complete without a nice core? Try doing a few crunches a week to tone it out.
4. Go running! Whether you’re by yourself or with a friend, running is a great cardio and it shapes up your legs!
5. Get some sleep! It’s great to get a good night’s sleep not only to relax your mind but your body as well. Finish off your summer work-out with a nice rest to ease the tension and let all the improvements set in!

So you want to be fit and you want to look cute? Why not have both? Yes, it’s possible. There are so many fun and useful accessories you can add to your fitness outfit! First off, music is a great motivator when you’re working out, so try using an Ipod Armband to hold that Ipod in place. You can also sport cute and colorful bracelets or hair bows that aren’t too dressy or dangly to add an extra flare. Don’t forget to pop in some pretty studs, (wear small earrings just to be safe while exercising,) before you’re out the door! What do you wear to spruce up your fitness wear? Tell us in a comment!

Admit it, we all want clear skin and to be free of the stress from acne. There are many things you can do to improve your skin, take a look at the tips mentioned in our blog, “Healthy Hair and Skin Care.” Here are the Top 10 delicious foods that you can add to your diet for healthy, clear skin.
1. Mangoes (mmm…)-sweet and delicious, and also have 80% of your daily requirements for vitamin A
2. Avocadoes-abundant in essential oils and B-complex vitamins that nourish your skin
3. Almonds-almonds are also great for your complexion with 150% of your daily need for vitamin E
4. Cottage Cheese (don’t say ew)-Dairy is good for your bones and face, and a great source of Selenium
5. Cherries- great source of vitamin C, Acerolas in particular
6. Baked Potatoes (my favorite)-Just eat one baked potato (with the skin) to get 75% of your daily copper need.
7. Oysters- Oysters fight pimples because they’re rich in zinc!
8. Flaxseed Oil- This oil is filled with Omega 3s are great for your skin
9. Wheat Germ-Wheat germ is a good source of biotin, a B vitamin that is crucial to skin health.
10. Mushrooms- They’ve got the B vitamin that’s vital to your skin
